How Are Renuvion and FaceTite Performed?

Both procedures follow a similar approach, though each utilizes its specialized technology to target skin tightening and contouring in a minimally invasive way.

The Renuvion Procedure

  1. Anesthesia: The procedure is typically performed under local anesthesia or sedation. Dilute local anesthesia, known as tumescent anesthesia, is injected into the treatment area (face and neck) to ensure comfort.
  2. Incisions: Small incisions are made in discreet areas—one under the chin and two near the earlobes—to ensure minimal scarring.
  3. Liposuction & Renuvion Probe: Excess fat is removed through a liposuction cannula. The Renuvion probe is then placed beneath the skin, delivering a blend of helium gas and radiofrequency energy. This controlled heat effect tightens collagen fibers and improves skin texture.
  4. Post-Procedure: Once the treatment is complete, any remaining fluid may be gently drained, and the incisions are closed with sutures or adhesive strips.

You may experience some swelling and bruising, but these typically subside within days to weeks. The results will continue to enhance over several months as collagen remodeling occurs, with full results taking up to 9 months.

The FaceTite Procedure

  1. Anesthesia: Like Renuvion, FaceTite is performed under local or general anesthesia to ensure comfort throughout the procedure.
  2. Incisions: Tiny incisions are made in discreet areas, like behind the ears or under the chin, for minimal visibility.
  3. Radiofrequency Probe: A thin probe is inserted through these incisions to deliver radiofrequency energy to the deeper layers of the skin. An external electrode simultaneously warms the skin surface.
  4. Targeted Heating: The radiofrequency energy melts away excess fat while boosting collagen production, leading to tighter and smoother skin.

The FaceTite procedure typically takes 1–2 hours, and results continue to improve as collagen production increases.

Pre-Operative and Post-Operative Care

Before undergoing Renuvion or FaceTite, you will have a personal consultation with Dr. Manolakakis to discuss your goals and concerns. Dr. M. will perform a thorough examination of your skin quality, fat distribution, and facial structure to tailor the procedure to your unique needs. You will also be provided with a series of preparation steps.

After the procedure, mild swelling and bruising are common and typically fade within 1–2 weeks. Applying cold compresses and keeping your head elevated can help reduce these effects. You may be required to wear a compression garment to minimize swelling and support the treated areas. If you have any incisions inside your mouth, you may need to stick to a soft diet for a few days. Avoid strenuous activities for 1–2 weeks. Most clients return to work within a few days, depending on their job and recovery progress. Protect the treated areas from the sun by wearing a hat and applying sunscreen.

With Renuvion, you'll notice an immediate improvement in skin texture, and the results will continue to develop over the next 9 months. Similarly, FaceTite results gradually appear as collagen production increases, with continued improvements for up to a year. Both treatments offer a refined, elegant transformation, delivering a more youthful and contoured appearance without the need for extensive surgery.
